Attention All Importers and Customs Brokers:
Even importers with the most robust compliance programs experience errors on entries of their imported merchandise. In some cases, these errors are systemic, others result of failures to communicate properly and accurately with the broker or others within the company. While such errors may appear to be insignificant, in the current era of stiff antidumping and countervailing duty rates and reliance on preferential treatment under FTA's, the consequences to the importer can be severe.
